The oldest cities of Uzbekistan Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent, Khiva and Shahrisabz were important cities on the trade routes of the Great Silk Road. Appeared in the 2nd century BC Silk Road connecting China and the Middle East, was not only an important trade route, but was also reason for active cultural exchange between East and West. And, of course, it is impossible not to mention the influence of the Silk Road to the history, culture and architecture of Central Asia.
Samarkand, with its 27 century old history of one of the oldest cities in the world, still surprises the eye with its magnificent buildings from the medieval architecture. Rich culture and unique architectural monuments are gorgeous even today! Bukhara, as old as Samarkand, opens its doors for the lovers of antiquity. Each stone in this city breathes with history. On this earth have lived and created great scientists like doctor and scientist Avicenna, and historian Narshakhi. Khiva, whose townscape took shape in the 17th Century, holds architectural gems behind its mud walls, welcoming the visitors.

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent

Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to hotel. The city tour in Tashkent after lunch: Museum of History of Uzbekistan, Theatrical Square, madrasah Kukeldash and Chor- Su bazaar. Dinner. Night at 4 * hotel.

Day 2: Tashkent- Urgench - Khiva

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer early in the morning to airport for flight to Urgench (1.5 hour flight). Arrival in the Urgench airport and drive to Khiva (30 km). Accommodation at the hotel and start the city tour in Khiva : madrassah and minaret Kalta Minor, Kunya Ark fortress , madrasah MukhamadrakhimKhan and mausoleum Pakhlavan Makhmud. Lunch in a tea house. Sightseeing after lunch: madrasah and minaret Islam Khodja, Juma Mosque, madrasah Allakulikhan , madrasah Kutlug Murad Inak and Tosh Khovli palace. Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 3: Khiva - Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Bukhara. (470km, 7-8 hours driving) Lunch break en route. Visit the ruins of Varakhsha citadel nearby to Bukhara. Arrival to Bukhara. Free time. Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 4: Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day sightseeing in Bukhara. The city tour before lunch includes: visiting mausoleums of the Samanids and Chashma Ayub, the fortress Ark. Lunch. After lunch, visit the old town of Bukhara: complex Poi Kalyan, mosque Maggoki - Attori and Labi - Khaus complex. Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 5: Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for rest of sightseeing. The morning visits include: summer residence of Bukhara emirs -Sitorai Mokhi Khosa palace, Chor Bakr complex and mausoleum Bagoutdin Nakshbandi. Lunch. In the afternoon visit madrassas Chor Minor and Kosh and the Balyand mosque. Dinner and folk show at madrassah. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 6: Bukhara - Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Samarkand (300km) after breakfast. En route visit the caravanserai Rabat Malik. Arrival to Samarkand . Lunch. Visit the Registan Square after lunch. Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 7: Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. City tour in Samarkand before lunch: observatory Ulugbek, Afrosiab Museum, mausoleum Khodja Daniyar. Lunch. Go on sightseeing after lunch: Bibi Khanim mosque, necropolis Shakhi Zinda and mausoleum Gur Emir. Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 5: Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day sightseeing in Bukhara. Before lunch you will visit mausoleum of Samanids, Ark fortress and the Bolo Khaus mosque. In the afternoon walk from Poi- Kalyan complex via trade domes, pass by madrassas of Ulugbek and Abdulazizhan, also visit mosque Magoki Attori. In the evening transfer to the railway station and overnight train travel to Tashkent.

Day 10: Bukhara

Sightseeing in Bukhara’s suburbs until the afternoon: the summer residence of the emirs of Bukhara - Sitorai -Mohi - Khosa, the complexes of Chor - Bakr and Bagoutdin Nakshbandi . Day 14: Khiva - Ayaz Kala - Toprak Kala – Urgench- Tashkent

During this tour, in addition to the magnificent architectural monuments in Samarkand, Bukhara, Kokand and Shahrisabz, you will be introduced to the processes of traditional handicrafts production.
You will see the metal work, the decoration of fabrics, weaving of carpets, various ceramic techniques, paper making, wood carving and miniature painting.-Visit the ceramics workshop and family museum of Rustam Usmanov in Rishtan.-In the center of the traditional Uzbek silk weaving in Margilan there is opportunity to see the whole process of silk textile production based on old technologies.-For a long time Samarkand has been known as a center of production of high quality paper. In the workshop of a gifted master you will see how the bark of the mulberry tree turns into paper.-And what Oriental city can do without carpets? You will visit the carpet factory in Samarkand, where you can see skilled weavers creating masterpieces.

Breakfast at the hotel . Transfer to the airport for the early morning flight to Nukus. Arriving in Nukus and proceed for connecting flight from Nukus to the Aral Sea by route Nukus -Muynak - Aral Sea-Nukus. See Aral Sea region from the air. Visit the famous Igor Savitskiy Museum after arriving back to Nukus. In this museum are exposed unique artifacts of Karakalpak people and a collection of Russian avant-garde painting from the 20-40th of the 20th Century. Drive to Khiva (200 km). Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 3: Khiva

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast you will spend the whole day in Khiva, in order to see: madrassah of MukhammedamiKhan, minaret Kalta - Minor, Kunya -Ark fortress, Palace Tosh Khovli, mausoleum Pakhlavan Makhmud, madrasah Mukhammed Rakhim Khan, Juma mosque. Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 4: Khiva - Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure to Bukhara (470 km). The road to Bukhara runs through the desert Kyzylkum (translated: "Red Sand "). Picnic lunch in the desert. Photo-stop on the banks of the Amu Darya River. Arrival in Bukhara and free time . Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 5: Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Before lunch visit mausoleums of the Samanids and Chashma Ayub, Ark fortress. Day 6: Bukhara

Day 7: Bukhara - Nurata –Yurt Camp

Breakfast at the hotel . Departure to Nurata (180km). Sightseeing in Nurata: mausoleum of Nur -Ota, Juma Mosque, Holy spring, Fort of Alexander the Great. Drive to the yurt camp in the afternoon (80 km). Dinner. Overnight at yurts.

Day 8: Yurt Camp

After breakfast, to walk or camel ride to Aydarkul Lake (8km). Picnic at the lake with grilled fish. Depending onto weather conditions, there is possibility to swim in the lake. Campfire with folk performance after dinner. Overnight at yurts.

Day 9: Yurt Camp - Samarkand

After breakfast departure to Samarkand ( 300 km) - city with a 2750 -year history. Arrival in Samarkand and accommodation at hotel. After lunch, visit the Registan Square (madrasah Ulugbek , madrasah Sher- Dor , madrasah Tilla - Kari) . Dinner. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Day 10: Samarkand

Day 4: Fergana - Osh - Sarytash

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the Uzbek - Kyrgyz border. After border formalities proceed to Osh (120 km). Day 9: Bishkek - Almaty

This park is famous for its monument of Honor and the Eternal Flame. There are 28 granite monuments with the names of the 28 heroes. Visit the Zenkov Cathedral in the same park. The Christian Church of the Holy Ascension was designed and built by architecture Zenkov without a single nail in 1904-1907. In Uzbekistan there are more than 300 species of birds, for example:
Just 80km northwest of Tashkent, professional ornithologists and nature lovers can meet in the valley of Chimgan such kind of birds like Nuthatch, Lesser Grey Shrike, and Golden Oriole, nightingales, Whitethroats and pine buntings.
The area south of Samarkand undoubtedly is one of the most interesting places for bird watchers. Here you will see griffon vulture and the black vulture making circles in the sky. These birds nest on mountain peaks around. Shrike and white neck blackbirds can be found in the bushes. In the neighborhood cliffs can be found Nuthatch and larks. Wheatear and Asian flycatcher cavort in crowns of tall trees.
In Zarafshan reserve with ponds and riparian forests, you can see Night Heron and White-winged woodpeckers.
Reed warbler, great and pygmy cormorants inhabit in the east of Bukhara. Nearby you can find Plover, Caspian Gulls, red crested Pochard and purple heron.
