Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shahrisabz, Tashkent - the cities via which for many centuries were passing caravan routes between the East and the West. Along these routes to Central Asia were arriving not only goods from all over the world, but the new religions, customs and traditions.
Central Asia is also one of the cradles of ancient civilizations: Great Arias, Persians – Achaemenid, Greco- Macedonians, Arabs, Mongols, and many other tribes and nations assimilated here! Today’s rich architectural heritage of Uzbekistan is the subject of synthesis of culture of these nations.
